New Installer Training Module for SANCO2 DHWP Installers.
/Small Planet University has just released its latest course, “Certification Course for SANCO2 Water Heating Plant Installers”. This course is largely focused on providing information for plumbing contractors to install a SANCO2 DHWP system as well as giving a high-level overview of system configuration concepts which can be useful to architects, engineers, utility teams and more.
This course was originally developed to give plumbing contractors a better understanding of how SANCO2 DHWP work, enabling them to have more confidence in pricing the install of a system. In addition, the certificate earned at the end of the course can be used as a requirement for specifiers (such as architects, developers and engineers) who want to assure that their bidders have rudimentary knowledge of the system on which they are bidding. The course covers all the concepts of SANCO2 DHWP and how they work together to create a system that delivers all the domestic hot water needed in a multi-family building using CO2 heat pumps.
The course is based on the “parts and pieces” approach of the multi-family plant where all the individual heat pumps, tanks, swing tank and controls are purchased, assembled and installed per piping diagrams for the building, rather than a packaged plant which is brought pre-assembled to the project, such as Water Drop.
Future Uses and Future Courses
Because this course allows project bidders and installers to take the to have a basic level of understanding of the system design, this certification course could be incentivized by utilities in the future.
